Which teams can still qualify for WC 2018?

ONLY four spots remain at the Russia 2018 World Cup after two more countries sealed qualification on Monday morning AEDT.

Both Switzerland and Croatia confirmed tickets to football's showpiece events with 0-0 draws with Northern Ireland and Greece respectively.

That means Switzerland progressed 1-0 and Croatia 4-1 on aggregate after their two-leg European play offs.

They join Tunisia and Morocco as the countries to most qualify, while Australia and New Zealand remain among the eight nations still fighting for the final spots.

EUROPE: Russia (hosts), France, Portugal, Germany, Serbia, Poland, England, Spain, Belgium, Iceland, Switzerland, Croatia

CONCACAF: Mexica, Costa Rica, Panama

ASIA: Iran, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia

AFRICA: Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco, Senegal, Egypt

Four more matches will decide the final spots at the World Cup, with four second leg play-off ties remaining.

The following nations can still qualify: Italy, Sweden, Ireland, Denmark, Australia, Honduras, New Zealand and Peru.
