News of bulldozed koala habitat at Tinana goes viral

THE founder of a high-profile animal-rights organisation Vegan Warriors says yesterday's peaceful protest in Tinana has "gone viral" among its network of supporters.

Jaylene Musgrave, based on the Sunshine Coast, said the clearing of koala habitat had disgusted supporters worldwide.

"This situation has happened before in Queensland ... it's becoming quite a pattern," she said.

"I will be talking with our barristers."

Chris Hanna, a qualified fauna handler from Dalby, rushed to Tinana yesterday to help search for injured wildlife.

He said there was more than 40 species of threatened, endangered or vulnerable animals in the area.

"This is a massive failure," he said.
