LETTER TO EDITOR: How was it decided to spend $3 million on "beautifying" the Maryborough CBD?

Was it the result of imagination?

Did our elected councillors vote on spending all this money?

It's our money so rates will go up for sure...

Maryborough is a heritage city and should not be modernised.

The footpaths are okay, maybe a few lights, etc are needed.

If Station Square doubles in size as is planned, will our CBD still have 20 vacant shops?

Maybe fewer, or more?

There is something wrong here.
