Youngbloods fall first up but positive signs ahead for club

YOUNGBLOODS lost their season-opener by two goals but David Taylor expects his side to bounce back.

The Youngblood said the side that took the field in last week's 5-3 loss to Brothers looked slightly different to their squad from last season, but that was a challenge faced by all clubs.

"We did lose but it was pretty tight,” Taylor said.

"We should be full strength this weekend but we're always looking for more players.”

Youngbloods will face Fraser Flames tomorrow, who beat Magpies 3-2 last week

In the women's competition, it will be a tough time for those who lost last week as the dominant Youngbloods and Magpies aim for two successive wins to start the season.

Youngbloods beat Brothers 6-1 and Magpies beat Flames 6-0 in the women's opening round.
