YOUR STORY: Moving Anzac ceremony at Kawungan State School

Kawungan State School held a whole school Anzac Parade on Friday.

It was a moving ceremony with two special guests from the RSL, Mr Beattie and Mr Collins attending.

They presented a book to the school library called Remembering Fromelles.

We had a past student from Kawungan State School, James Creswell, play the Last Post.

All classes learnt about the Anzacs, listening to stories and making creative art pieces.

The band played  The Ode and The Australian Anthem.

The senior choir sang a song titled "On the Hill" and also sang at the Hervey Bay Dawn service on Monday.
