Christmas cheer for 60s and better

CHRISTMAS cheer has arrived for 60s and Better, with the Hervey Bay community group throwing a festive luncheon on Wednesday.

Seventy-five seniors converged on Hervey Bay RSL to tell stories of the year that had passed and talk about plans for the future.

They all took part in Christmas quizzes and jokes while listening to music by local organist Peter East.

The group’s publicity officer, Lyn Vella, said it was a lovely day with plenty of laughs.

If Christmas is not looking all that sparkling for you this year, Ms Vella is encouraging you to head along to 60s and Better at Dan Dinna House, on Boat Harbour Drive, to make new friends and join in the fun.

Dan Dinna House will be open until December 18 but will close over the Christmas break and re-open January 4.
