Hailstorms hit the Fraser Coast on Sunday afternoon. The biggest hailstone reported to the Bureau of Meteorology was a 7cm long chunk that fell about 10km south of Childers.

AN EGG-shaped hailstone 7cm long was the biggest reported to the Bureau of Meteorology during the hailstorms in the Wide Bay region on Sunday afternoon.
UPDATE: A Maryborough resident has reported that hailstones as big as 2.5cm in diameter fell in a storm that struck about 2pm.
