In wind and choppy waters the Superboats roared to life at Hervey Bay on Saturday. Spectators lined the Esplanade foreshore to catch a glimpse of the high-octane action on the water. Action was the name of the game with fast racing, boat flips and fires all part of the racing. A major crash in the main event on Saturday cancelled the race. Organisers were ready for the racers to renew hostilities on Sunday before the windy and choppy seas brought a halt to the round. The Dynamic boat piloted by Andy Smith and Hayden Wyld won the series.
